Persimmon, Honey & Cream Cheese Toast

This vibrant toast is creamy and sweet and has a slight crunch from the chia seeds. It makes a wonderful breakfast or brunch and contains lots of healthy ingredients!

Persimmon is one of those totally underrated fruit here. I already posted a couple of persimmon recipes on my blog last year and I just cannot get enough of it! I love the mild honey-like flavor of this fruit so much! So I’m very excited to present to you this super simple but super flavorful Persimmon & Cream Cheese Toast!

This would be amazing for both breakfast or lunch – or maybe brunch! It’s creamy and slightly sweet and has a bit of a crunch from the chia seeds. I added some honey on the persimmon and then lightly torched it with my kitchen torch for a slight caramelization. What’s not to love about this toast?

Obviously, this is really easy to make. Start off by cutting yourself a couple of slices of sourdough bread (the best!). Then toast the bread for a nice crunch. Mix cream cheese and honey together. Mmmmmhhhhh. So good. Next, peel and thinly slice the persimmon(s). Once all your ingredients are prepared, spread the cream cheese and honey mixture on your toasted bread. Add the beautiful vibrant persimmon on top and drizzle with a bit of honey. Then caramelize that with a blow torch and lastly sprinkle on some chia seeds.

You will love it!! I cannot recommend this enough! I would have eaten both slices cause it’s that delicious but instead I shared it with my sister. Gotta share the love, right?

Will you make this toast for breakfast soon? Or how about my Mediterranean Avocado Toast?
